Nelson Mandela.

Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela.

Surco el cielo una saeta

que golpeando los astros

desperto a los dioses que yacían

aletargados en el rebozo

del olvido.

Saeta que llevaba incrustado

los dolores de una raza subyugada,

saeta llevando las esquirlas

de la lucha libertaria,

saeta que le dio al centro

del oprobio,

a la pesadilla de los sueños

el apartheid,

palabra odiosa, llena

de miedos, de armas,

de oprobios, ultrajes,

de violaciones,

de los que te miran con ojos

de inquisidor,

de los que te apuntan con el dedo

meñique y eres hombre muerto.

Has renacido,

Nelson Mandela

tu nombre

ya esta hilvanado en la cobija

del universo, tomas la mano

de Salvador Allende para construir

el camino de estrellas

que hará florecer el sendero

que mis nietos han de caminar

siempre

con la cara llena de esperanzas.

Nelson Mandela.

an arrow plought the sky

that hitting the stars

awoke the gods lying

dormant in the coating

of oblivion.

Arrow embedded wearing

the pains of race,

arrow carrying the shrapnel

of the liberation struggle,

bolt that gave the center

the reproach,

the nightmare of dreams

apartheid,

odious word, full

fears, weapons,

with insults, indignities,

violations,

of those who look at you with eyes

of inquisitor,

of you point the finger

pinky and you're dead.

You have been reborn,

Nelson Mandela

your name

already this basting on the blanket

of the the universe, you take hand

with Salvador Allende to build

the road with the stars

road that my grandchildren have to walk

always

with hopeful face.

Victor Jara.

Victor Jara 2

“…Ahi donde llega todo

y todo comienza

canto que ha sido valiente

siempre será canción nueva…”

                      Victor Jara

“Where everything comes

and it all begins

song that has been brave

always will be new song ...”

                    Victor Jara

Cuarenta huecos.

Los malhadados dedos del destino

sacaron sangrante tu corazón

lacerados por

cuarenta escupitajos,

cuarenta deneustos,

cuarenta mentiras,

cuarenta proyectiles

disparados por los mal

llamados valientes soldados

de una patria desgarrada.

Desde el espacio infinito

cuarenta ruiseñores

revolotean tocando

las aristas del tiempo,

su vuelo es un bólido

errático buscando las

respuestas a las cuarenta

heridas que nos cubren

en la larga noche de los odios.

Forty holes.

The ill-fated destiny of the fingers
took your bleeding heart
lacerated by
forty spitting,
forty insults,
forty lies,
forty missiles
fired by bad
called brave soldiers
from a torn homeland.
From the infinite space
forty nightingales
hover touching
the edges of time,
their flight is a fireball
searching the erratic
forty responses
that cover our wounds
in the long night of hatreds.

Leonard Peltier

Leonard Peltier

Leonard Peltier.

Debe ser puesto en libertad.

Tal vez mi voz viene tarde

hermano

pero más vale tarde que nunca

tus manos deben volver

a tocar la tierra húmeda

para que puedan germinar

voces transformadas en flores

girando a los cuatro viento,

tus manos deben volver a dirigir

la harmoniosa danza de

las cosas que mueven

nuestro universo.

Debes volver a retomar

el sagrado vínculo de las

ceremonias de la vida

para que tu canto con la brisa

mueva las hojas sagradas

de los árboles ancestrales.

Tal vez mi voz viene tarde

hermano

pero más vale tarde que nunca.

Leonard Peltier

Must be free.

Perhaps my voice comes later
brother
but better late than never
Your hands should return
to touch the damp earth
so they can germinate
voices transformed into flowers
turning the four wind,
Your hands should redirect
the harmonious dance
of things that move
our universe.
You have to retake
the sacred bond of
life ceremonies
in order your song move

with the breeze
the sacred leaves
of the ancestral tree.
Perhaps my voice comes later
brother
but better late than never.

Javier Heraud (Poeta Peruano)

Javier Heraud

Javier Heraud Pérez (1942-1963) was a Peruvian poet and member of the Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN).

In January 1963, a group led by the 21-year old poet Javier Heraud and Alain Elias crossed through Bolivia, where they picked up weapons, and entered southern Peru. Plagued by Leishmaniasis infection however, the 15 member team decided to enter the city of Puerto Maldonado to seek out medical supplies. The local police were warned of the group's advance, and on May 15 Heraud was shot in the chest and killed while he drifted past the town in a dugout canoe.

Mi voz…

Mi voz descansa entre

las palomas,

entre el olor

de la tierra húmeda,

en medio de

tus manos hacendosas,

en el diálogo fraterno,

en la reunión partidaria.

He llevado mi voz

por parajes

con fragancia de flores

recién nacidas,

entre los dolores,

y la muerte que

no quiere cerrar sus ojos.

Mi voz lleva la solidaridad

a los torturados,

a los heridos

a los dolientes,

a las tierras asoladas,

a los peregrinos

que recorren

el camino

de las esperanzas.

Mi voz vuela entre

la copa de los

árboles tratando

de atrapar

el sueño

de los viejos

chamanes

de mi tierra.

My voice ...

My voice lies between
the pigeons,
the smell
of wet land,
amid
your industrious hands,
in the fraternal dialogue,
in the party meeting.
I carried my voice
for places
with newborn

scented flowers
between the pain,
and the death
that not want to close his eyes.
My voice carries solidarity
to the tortured,
to the wounded
to the mourners,
to the torn land,
to the pilgrims
that travel
the way
of hopes.
My voice soars among
cup of
trees treating
to catch
the sleep
of old
Shaman
of my land.

Weichafe

Matías Catrileo

Weichafe.

para Matías Catrileo

Vemos entre las araucarias

las aves de las verdades,

los vientos trémulos

melodías lejanas

salidas de instrumentos

solidarios,

vemos tú imagen

galopando entre los

guillatunes,

el sonido cristalino de tu voz

se desliza entre los pastizales

clamando por la tierra arrebatada

por el pan robado día a día,

por el desamparo de los niños,

tus manos transformadas

en un minúsculo navio

transitan los suaves

escarceos del Imperial

llevando sin descanso el

mensaje de los justos.

Vemos entre las araucarias

el paso de los guerreros

tocando las suaves curvas

de tu frente, para ofrendarte

la nobleza de tu gente.

Weichafe.

for Matías Catrileo

We see between the pine
birds of truths,
tremulous winds,
distant melodies
playing instruments
of solidarity,
we see your picture
galloping between
the guillatunes,
the crystal-clear sound of your voice
slips between pastures
crying out for land seized
by the bread steal from day to day,
for the children neglected,
your hands transform
in a tiny ship
pass through soft
skirmishes at Imperial
taking without rest
the message of the righteous.
We see between the pine
the passage of the warriors
touching the gentle curves
of your forehead, to offering
the nobility of your people.

La tierra desgarrada

La tierra desgarrada

Eres joven.

-Hoy es Grecia-

Y la sangre sigue brotando

de un corazón generoso,

y no termina el exterminio

y no puedes ser joven

eres un peligro, hay una

bala que irá dirigida a tu

víscera en cualquier

momento.

-Ayer fue Chile-

Ellos no descansan, no quieren

tu presencia

en la plaza,

en la protesta,

en el mitin,

otros con euforia

te quieren confundir

te motejan de terrorista para

dispararte con

el fervor de un asesino

consumado.

-Mañana Bolivia-

no te quieren ver pensando,

pero ellos quieren

teñir la redondez del planeta

con el escarlata de tu savia.

-Años atrás Gran Bretaña-

Tú grito de protesta llena

de inquina el terror interior

de sus ríos recorriendo

las cavidades de sus rabias,

pero, ese tú grito hace

revolotear las hojas de otoño

recién caídas con el viento

suave y fresco de la montaña.

-Tal vez será Pakistan-

Pero la sangre seguirá brotando

de tu corazón romántico

y generoso, lleno de frenesí

y de amor.

You are young.

-Today is Greece-

And the blood continues to spring

from a generous heart,

and does not stop the extermination

and can no be young

you’re dangerous, there is

a bullet that will be directed

to your viscera at any moment.

-Yesterday was Chile-

They do not rest,

they do not want your presence

on the square,

in the protest,

at the rally,

others with euphoria

want to confuse you

they label you as terrorist

to shoot you with

the fervor of an accomplished

murder

-Tomorrow Bolivia-

They do not want

to see you thinking,

but they want

stain the roundness of the planet

with the scarlet of your lifeblood.

-Years ago Great Britain-

Your yell of protest filled

with dislike the inside terror

of their rivers traveling

the cavities of their anger,

but this yell, your yell

flutter the autumn leaves

freshly fallen with the wind,

soft, fresh from the mountain.

-Maybe will be Pakistan-

But the blood will continues to spring

from your romantic heart

generous and full of frenzy

and love.
